501 Martial Arts Reviews

  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Conway

Come check out one of the only martial arts gym I have ever been to that is run by Registered Nurses. All the coaches here are extremely attentive to their students and and the product they provide. This is a great gym to take steps toward your martial arts or fitness goals. I love how honest and strait forward their program is, there are no hidden costs like belt testing fees or requirements to buy training weapons. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about training in martial arts!

I can't think of a better place to train, learn, grow, make friends, lose weight, and generally have a great time. I've lost 40 pounds in 6 months from coming in, working hard, and making positive changes in my life. Even on days where I'd rather just go home and be lazy, I come work out because I know I'm going to have a great time, be with great people, and I know I will not regret it! I can't say enough about the instructors here. From day one, they welcomed me and treated me like family. Now I consider them family! I've never felt awkward or embarrassed, even coming in being clearly overweight and out of shape. I'm SO glad I came in and tried it out, and you will be too! All of the classes are free to try, so what are you waiting for!?!

My son Nathan loves it. He has been doing for about 5 months. He is already preparing for his second tournament. He really has opened up and he has more determination and drive in everything he is doing, including school.

This is hands down the best martial arts gym at which I have ever trained. The owner and instructors are skilled, experienced, talented martial artists, and they hold themselves to a code of conduct which emphasizes the development of character as much as fighting ability. They teach all levels of classes, and are patient and friendly with new students as well as old hands. The only reason you should ever choose somewhere else is if you aren't prepared to work.

I have been taking the women's kickboxing class for 2 1/2 years now. It is hands down the best/hardest workout I have ever had. I am stronger and a faster runner as a result. The instructors and staff are very knowledgable and willing to assist in any way they can. Private lessons are offered if you want to get 1 on 1 training. The gym is family friendly and they offer a wide variety of classes from kids to adults. If you are a beginner, don't be afraid to join right in, they will take the time to teach you and you won't feel uncomfortable. Overall great gym! I recommend it to all my friends and anyone who is interested in martial arts.

When you walk in it feels like home. If you take awhile off, and come back, it feels like you never left. The instructors are talented martial artists and educators. It's not just a good workout, it's a great time!

I've been training at 501 Martial Arts for 9 months now. My oldest boy and I train in both Kickboxing and Jui Jitsu. While my 6 year old trains in Kickboxing and Little Dragons. Very comfortable family feel to the gym. You get class training with the instructor taking time to make sure you perform the moves correctly. Respect and manners is emphasized as part of training. Our kids place well at tournaments. Overall a great place to take your kids and train yourself.

This is the perfect gym for the whole family. I do men's kickboxing and my little one does the Little Dragons program (MMA fundamentals for 3-6 year olds). Women get to take the Cardio Kickboxing for free when a child joins.

The gym is a family atmosphere. Its not a lot of guys grunting. Everyone is very respectful and you don't have to worry about how good you look or how good you are. The majority of the people in this gym are not training to fight.

The kids programs are great. Mr Kelly is a very patient but stern instructor with the little ones and the bigger kids in Kids Kickboxing and Kids Jujitsu seem to be doing well to be so young. My 4 yr old cant wait to go back to class to get another "stripe" on his belt.

Most importantly, there aren't any hidden fees for "testing" and "belts" in this gym. There's no one hassling you for money to progress in belt. In fact, my son's class gets their belts for free when they progressed. Uniforms and memberships are a very modest price.

This is a great place. My family will be working out here for years to come.

This is where I would take my child if I lived in Conway, also the Muay Thai here is some of the best that you can get, especially in this region! I may be biased but the BJJ there is awesome as well :):) More important than the arts that they teach is the fact that it is full of genuine people. I can't recommend this place enough.
